Remote working: The New Workers Right

As I build TrustIn as a headhunting business that focuses on working with partners who value remote working and its benefits, I must recognise and reflect on the positives and negatives of having this type of structure. I started working remotely in 2018 while visiting friends and family in other countries that working 12 hour days in London while trying to build my recruitment desk would never have allowed me to do. It gave me the opportunity to perform at the top level while living the type of lifestyle that I want where I get to connect with the people closest to me when they are nowhere near my desk.

During the next three years I managed to increase my billings while having experiences that helped me grow as a professional, expand my vision of the future of work and how I want to influence it. With the introduction of a new paradigm through COVID restrictions, the whole industry that I recruit for got a taste of what remote working could offer them and when things went back to normal, a large percentage never wanted to get back to the office full time again. As the rules started to fade away people´s resolve not to go back to the office did not fade with them in the technology industry.
